Xindi He is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Financial Economics (joint program) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics in 2023. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University in 2018.

His research focuses on the interactions between asset prices, investor behavior, and real activity. He is interested in a wide range of topics from investor characteristics to firm decisions, and from beliefs under information asymmetry to preferences with psychological bias. For each of these topics, his research aims to unveil the financial and macroeconomic consequences of the co-existence of full and limited rationality.

Jenny is an Assistant Professor in the School of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech with adjunct affiliation in the School of Chemistry & Biochemistry. She earned her PhD in Earth & Environmental Sciences from the University of Michigan and completed postdoc research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Stanford University. Her research spans aquatic and wetland biogeochemistry, organic geochemistry, and photochemistry, and focuses the process-level understanding needed to reduce uncertainty in carbon budgets or improve land management planning. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Ira and Ester. ​

I am currently an Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech’s School of Literature, Media, and Communication in the Digital Media Department. Happiest when I’m learning and exploring, I have a background in English Literature, fine arts, web and UX design and research. I believe design is uniquely positioned to build the world around us on many levels and therefore I seek ways to design to shift definitions, hold multiple perspectives, and foster sustainability and equity.

Cindy Lin is the Stephen Fleming Early Career Assistant Professor at the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech. She is the director of Critical Technocultures Lab. Prior to her professorship at Georgia Tech, she was an assistant professor at the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability and the Department of Information Science. She was also a Digital Life Initiative Visiting Fellow at Cornell Tech.  

Cindy’s (she/her) research centers on the data practices, exchanges, and expertise of climate change and their relationship to environmental governance in Indonesia and the United States.

Cindy’s current book project examines how environmental data and AI are used to map and predict land and fires on Indonesia’s tropical peatland, the world’s largest terrestrial natural carbon store. Drawing from 3 years of ethnographic research with government ministries and agencies in Jakarta and with North American technology firms contracted as service providers to these institutions, I show that what started out as a state-driven initiative to monitor fire risk from afar transformed into a set of computing and labor-intensive efforts to stabilize fires.

Her work has been published in leading computing venues including ACM CSCW, CHI, DIS, and PD and has been featured in Social Text and CoDesign. Her graduate studies and research have been funded by the National Science Foundation, Dow Sustainability Fellows Program, Rackham Graduate School and the International Institute at the University of Michigan.

Cindy is the co-author of Technoprecarious, a multigraph written with Precarity Lab. She was also the co-director of DoIIIT, an interactive design and making studio. She holds a Ph.D. in Information from the School of Information (UMSI) and a graduate certificate from the Science, Technology, and Society Program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  

Emily Barrett is an Assistant Professor of City and Regional Planning at Georgia Tech, where her work focuses on the intersection of community-based geographic information systems (GIS), economic geography, and urban development.

Her latest research examines spatial inequities across U.S. cities, focusing on municipal budgets as pivotal sites of debate for economic democracy. As a dedicated community-based researcher, Barrett has a history of partnering with organizations like the Nashville People’s Budget Coalition and Stand Up Nashville. Through this work, she contributes to broad debates in urban planning, revealing how organizers are reimagining public finance to create more affordable cities.

She holds a Ph.D. in Community, Research and Action from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in Geography from the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Sofía Pérez-Guzmán serves as an Assistant Professor within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She also holds a courtesy appointment at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. Prior to this, she worked as a postdoctoral research associate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Center for Infrastructure, Transportation, and the Environment.

Dr. Pérez-Guzmán's primary interest lies in addressing wicked problems within supply chain and transportation domains. These challenges often encompass disruptions, human behavior, multiple stakeholders, and equity and sustainability objectives. Her ongoing research focuses on disaster response logistics, food systems logistics, and urban freight transportation, with an overarching aim of enhancing the social performance of supply chains. Her research methodologies include optimization, simulation, data analytics, econometrics, empirical approaches, as well as behavioral and economic theories.

Saeed is an assistant professor at the School of Computer Science at Georgia Tech. Before joining Georgia Tech, he was postdoctoral associate at MIT working with Professor Mohammad Alizadeh. Saeed received his Ph.D. in computer science from Georgia Tech, where he was advised by Professors Mostafa Ammar and Ellen Zegura. His Ph.D. was partially supported by the Google Ph.D. Fellowship in Systems and Networking. He received his bachelor's degree from Alexandria University in 2010. His research interests broadly cover the theory, design, and implementation of scalable computer networks and systems, including resource scheduling, congestion control, wireless networks, and cyber-physical systems.

Bobby Harris joined the faculty at the School of Economics in 2023. His research and teaching interests are in energy and environmental economics, industrial organization, and public economics. Much of his existing work has implications for climate policy and the energy transition.

Bobby holds a PhD in environmental economics from Duke University (2022) and undergraduate degrees in mathematics and economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2016). Prior to joining Georgia Tech, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar with the Initiative on Equity in Energy and Environmental Economics at the Energy Institute at Haas at the University of California, Berkeley.

Suvrat Dhanorkar is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business. His research focuses on Supply Chain Innovation, Circular Economy, Climate Risk, Health & Well-being.

His work has been published in various Financial Times (FT) 50 journals, including Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production & Operations Management, Journal of Operations Management, as well as Transportation Science and Business Strategy & Environment.

He holds editorial positions at several business journals including Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production & Operations Management, and Journal of Operations Management.

Before joining Georgia Tech, he was an Associate Professor at the Pennsylvania State University. Suvrat has a PhD from University of Minnesota, an MBA from University of Notre Dame and a BEng from University of Pune.

Gaurav Doshi is an Assistant Professor in the School of Economics. His research interests are in energy and environmental economics, empirical industrial organization, and applied econometrics. His work focuses on the impacts of energy policy on market power and emissions from the fossil fuel sector, technology adoption in the renewable sector, and transition to renewable energy in the US.

Gaurav’s current research uses tools and techniques from industrial organization to study how firms respond to policy changes in electricity and energy markets. He currently teaches courses on Machine Learning for Economics. Prior to joining the faculty at Georgia Tech, Gaurav received his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2023.
