David Haun is a technology licensing associate with a research background in the life and marine sciences. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, David worked at the Office of Innovation & Commercialization at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he helped accelerate the technology transfer initiatives and developed both university and community-based startups. He has experience licensing technologies to Fortune 500 companies and has fostered relationships with stakeholders in government and academia as well. David holds a B.S. in biology from the Pennsylvania State University and received his M.S. from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Justice Williams is a technology licensing associate with a background in medical devices and renewable energy. She has held roles in product design, research and development, and verification and validation in both research and industry settings. This position marks the beginning of her professional career following the completion of an M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering and B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.

Parth Majmudar is a Senior Licensing Associate for the Office of Technology Licensing at Georgia Tech. He manages a wide ranging portfolio with a focus on commercializing technologies developed at Georgia Tech Research Institute. Previously, Parth focused on technology commercialization, start-up creation, and entrepreneurial support at the University of California San Diego. Parth Majmudar has a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Engineering & Management from Case Western Reserve University.

Gennaro Gama holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry with an emphasis on Materials Chemistry. In 2000, he joined the licensing team at UPenn’s Center for Technology Transfer managing inventions developed at the NSF-funded Materials Research Science and Engineering Center. In 2002, he joined the University of Georgia Technology Commercialization Office (now Innovation Gateway) as Licensing Manager – Physical Sciences, having risen through the ranks to Senior Licensing Manager II and Contracts Officer. While at UGA he developed several programs that led to hundreds of executed licenses and products launched in the market. 

Ben DeGreen has more than 15 years of technology license experience and expertise associated with commercial and early-stage technologies in the chemical and consumer goods industries at two Fortune 300 companies. He is a Certified Licensing Professional and has additionally held positions in sales and internal auditing as well as led a cross functional team for the automation and redesign of pricing IT systems. Ben has a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. 

Amy Smith has been with the University of Georgia Systems since October 2014. She started working at Kennesaw State University in Student Affairs in 2014. After five years, she transferred over to Academic Affairs. In 2020, Amy started working at Georgia Gwinnett College in the School of Liberal Arts Dean's Office. After working at GGC for a couple of years, Amy took a position at the University of North Georgia - Gainesville Campus. She worked in the Sociology and Human Services department until she accepted her current position at Georgia Tech. She holds a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies. 

Angie Watson is the Senior Administrative Professional for the Office of Technology Licensing.  Angie has worked in higher education for 24 years.  The last 15 years have been in technology licensing.  She serves as the first point of contact for questions and scheduling meetings.  Angie holds a degree in General Business Studies.

Corin Bryan is responsible for assisting in maintaining Georgia Tech Research Corp.’s patent database.  Corin also supports the Licensing Associates with a wide variety of licensing and patent related matters.  Before joining the team, Corin worked in the health insurance industry.

Jo Bryan is responsible for patent management and maintaining Georgia Tech Research Corp.'s patent database. Jo has worked in the intellectual property field since 2000, specializing in U.S. patent prosecution, U.S. trademark prosecution, and copyright law. Jo has a B.S. degree in criminal justice from the University of South Florida. 

Ali Asgar Yunus brings over a decade of expertise in life science R&D, technology transfer, and business development, focusing on licensing of therapeutics, medical devices, and other healthcare-related technologies including software. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Dr. Yunus led BD&L, and Competitive Intelligence at Reata Pharmaceuticals and managed IP portfolio and licensing transactions at the University of North Texas and UT Southwestern Medical Center in Texas. Dr. Yunus holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Structural Biology from Cornell University and a B.Tech. in Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
